Lisa Marie Garcia
I was born in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and moved to sunny San Diego in 1984, where I attended and graduated from Point Loma High School in 1987. I am happily married for more than two decades, and am the mother of 6 children and 2 grandchildren.
My career as a legal assistant began in 1988 when I was hired by two busy female attorneys in Hillcrest, one who went on to become a U.S. Magistrate Judge. I was fresh out of high school with a love for law and the legal field, and although I was hired in as their receptionist, little by little, I began learning many valuable skills under their careful and talented tutelage.
I have had the pleasure to work with some of San Diego’s top trial attorneys and held the position of Mailing Chair for the San Diego Legal Secretaries Association.
Although I loved my career as legal assistant and also working in the capacity of law office administrator very much, I began to start and grow my family. In 2005, I decided to take a leave from working outside the home to spend my days as a full-time wife and mother. Now, some years later, I am happy to have accepted the position as Legal Assistant to Donna A. Denham at Denham Family Law, LLP.
In addition to my love for legal office work, I am also a graduate of the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, and Health Coach Institute and I currently hold a Master Certification as a health and wellness coach. I am passionate about helping people who struggle with issues of chronic illness, weight, and stress, so I currently maintain a small health coaching practice working with people of all ages in areas of Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition.
